Maxime MEENS is Specialities Product Manager for Eurecat France SAS. He holds a Process Chemical Engineering degree from Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. He worked 5 years for Clariant (formely Süd-Chemie) within the Refining, Petrochemical & Zeolite Business Unit before to join the Eurecat Group in 1995. Within his 25 years career, he has accumulated experience in 1) designing pilot plant equipments and reactors, 2) developing, manufacturing and selling fresh catalysts, 3) developing and selling catalyst services such as regeneration, sulfiding, activation & customized treatments to both catalyst manufacturers & catalyst end-users and 4) supervising and providing assistance and trouble-shooting during catalyst change-outs. He is a co-author of several patents in the field of catalyst treatments and separations.
Dr. Alexander Keller studied Chemistry at the Technical University of Karlsruhe and Business Administration at the University of Hagen. He holds a Ph.D. in Technical Chemistry
Dr. Keller started his career at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in 1997 and currently holds the position of Senior Partner in the global Chemicals Competence Center.
His experience covers a wide range of strategic and operational topics, in particular understanding chemicals and petrochemicals markets and developing effective growth/entry strategies. In recent years, he has been focusing on leveraging his in-depth knowledge of both the European Chemical Industry and Asian regional specifics, to support major Asian chemicals players in addressing domestic challenges and as well as capturing global opportunities. Furthermore, his work keeps abreast with the global structural changes in all dimensions within the framework of the chemical industry, in order to formulate winning strategies for leading global chemical companies in different geographies. His scope of work also extends to various Operational Excellence programs including process optimization, asset footprint optimization and comprehensive cost reduction initiatives in all business areas along the value chain, as well as in general and administrative functions. He is publishing regularly about a variety of industry topics and co-authoring the global Roland Berger study “Chemicals 2035″
Thomas Lang is manager technical marketing – process Industry, High Performance Tubes Product Division, at Wieland-Werke AG, Ulm, Germany. He has over 20 years’ experience in technical marketing and business development of enhanced heat transfer tubes for various applications and industries, principally to the hydrocarbon (refining, petrochemical, gas, and chemical) processing industry. He also has experience in the power, air-conditioning/refrigeration, automotive, and electrical power industries. Lang serves as the relationship manager of the Cooperation Technip/Wieland endeavor. Since 2002 he is member of the HTRI communication committee – Germany and since 2008 he services in the HTRI technical committee. He received his diploma in mechanical engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, MSc, Civil Engineering, University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado, USA.
Ihab Yahia is a Chemical Engineer graduated from Alexandria University – Faculty of Engineering, he has been nominated to join SIDPEC`s Marketing team in January 2005, Now he is Seconded to ETHYDCO in order to Establish its Petrochemicals products Marketing system as ETHYDCO is a new petrochemicals project under construction, as SIDPEC`s Marketing Research Department Head.
Before joining Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (SIDPEC Co.) in 2000, he spent a couple of years in the petrochemicals downstream industrial field related to chemical process operations, which helped him to begin his career as Process Engineer in the Polyethylene HDPE&LLDPE (PE plant) in Sidi Kerir Petrochemicalas Co.( SIDPEC).

An expert in catalysis/process and the economy of synthetic fuels and chemicals, and industry insider, Mr. Tijm is the author of the book “Gas to Liquids, Fischer-Tropsch, Advanced Energy Technology, Future’s Pathway.” Peter is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Delft Technical University and in Economics and Management from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He joined Shell in The Hague in 1973, starting an international career that would last over 23 years with the company. While working for Shell, he managed the construction and operation of over $2B in refinery projects, including Karachi, Pakistan (gas treating & upgrading facility), Cressier, Switzerland (refinery), Gothenburgh, Sweden (refinery), Bintulu, Malaysia (gas-to-liquids [GTL] plant), and Buggenum, Netherlands (coal gasification plant).
After leaving Shell, Peter consulted on over $20B in projects for Shell, Air Products, Rentech and others. He also took the lead in technology development, from its initiation in the laboratory to industrial realization, in coal gasification and the Shell Middle Distillate Synthesis process that is currently the largest GTL refinery in the world. This also included commercialization of novel products. Peter speaks eight languages, is (co)author of over 70 papers, and holder of 13 patent series.
